i want to have my 2 pc in a localareanetwork, 1 is conncted by dsl, 1 has no modem but has lancard, thnx much?

i want to install my printer in my pc without a modem but the printer needs a newer version of ie which i have to download and cant do because the pc has no modem and has extra pci slot to install a modem...

1 get a router...
the router will set as main ip (ex: default ip is 192.168.0.1)
2 setup the router (normally could b 192.168.0.1 or 192.1.1.1 depend on router)
after router setup ..
connect all of it
then run network wizard under network connection

is a piece of cake once you get the hang of it
better if you dont put ip on both computers. the router will automattically set them up as say 192.168.0.2 n so forth
