i can't find a box to put my password in

my computer won't connect to the network. the router has a password and a network key i can't put the pass word on my laptop

You will have to create a connection to the wireless router if one is not already setup.
The easiest way to do that is to use the set up cd that came with the router.

Do you see any indication in the lower right hand side of your task bar that one or more wireless networks are available? It should be near the clock.

If you do, right click that icon and try to connect to your network. It will give you a box to enter the password in.

when your router is turned on, try going to XP and go to the 'my network places'.
After opening that up, on the left will be a 'set up a wireless network' link- click it and tell it to search for available ....
It should find it ASAP- once connected, type in that router addy into your browser address bar-look in your router book for that-should be something like http://192.168.?.?.-that should access the router-

not sure what password you are asking about, but try running the setup software for the router again, and when it askesd for a password, put it in
