For some reason, my desktop icons and tool bar are missing. I have tried restore and that does not work. Short of re-loading windows again, does anyone have any suggestions. I would rather not re-install windows. I do not want to take the chance of loseing the data that I have on the system. (Much less, my favorite places.)

Please help if you can.

I have a mac mini and and i downloaded itunes 7.5
whenever i click on itunes it says i need
to upgrade my computer to 10.4.7
on the apple website i found where to upgrade and lost it
does the download upgrade me to leopard?
it was ten dollars

I have wireless broadband and am running Windows XP on my desktop PC with Vista Home Premium on my laptop. I want to be able to share files between the two computers and I'm sure there's a way I can set this up. I just don't know how! I´ve checked online and tried a few of those demo recovery programs. I know the photographs are still there somewhere. As I am still in the middle of my travels, I don´t want to pay for the program and don´t want to wait till I return eitehr. Both options cause complications.

I have tried websites that offer free software and the likes, but found nothing - yet. Do you know where I might find something usefull to help me get my great files back?

Okay, you know the thing at the bottom of the computer screen that has the Start button and has all the windows you have open, well that got to the right of my screen and i want it at the bottom, how do I move it to the bottom? thanks, krae_j

Hi. I custom-ordered a PC from CyberPowerPC.com, and went with the "standard" power supply and fan - but am now wondering if I did the right thing. Standard power supply is a 350W. Options are anywhere from a 500W to a 635W, with upcharges of $39 to $79. For a fan - I got the standard cooling unit w/ fan. I "could" get anther fan inside the case for a $3 upcharge. Also, there is a cooling unit called an Arctic Cooling Freezer ... that is only 20dBA loud for an upcharge of $15. Thoughts on staying with standard items, vs. going for options? It will be an AMD Dual-Core 4000+, and I will run an after-market ATI 128MB video card on it. Otherwise, standard stuff (DSL modem, HDD, DVD/CD drive, etc.). Thanks in advance! Oh - I should probably state that my last two PCs - the reason I got rid of them is because of issues with the cooling systems / fans...

I just got an 8600GTOC and I'm using it to play games on a 19 inch widescreen HP monitor (1440x900). When I have my games in full screen mode for a while at a time, I notice that at the very edges there will be a tiny bit of white that appears to vibrate. It has happened on the top and side how my screen, very small parts each. When I alt tab to another screen, then go back to it, the interference disappears.

I don't want to wreck the card by having it overheat or something. Any idea if this is related or what's causing it? Anything to worry about?

I need to save a same file (document) on different places on my computer( at least in 2 different folders). I know I can do that by using "save as" and saving it on one location at a time but, can I send the file to different folders with only one "save"?

I have a Western Digital WD3200YS hard drive, but my Windows XP SP2 only recognise 120gb (instead of 320gb or 298gb). My motherboard is an ASUS S775 P5NE-SLI and my processor Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2 Ghz, so my system is not an old one...

If I leave out the sql query and all of that, the script works fine. But when I add the sql parts, it doesn't. Help?

If my computer did not come with a CD to erase my hard drive, is there anyway to erase it.

Also, for some reason I am unable to erase the Norton anti-virus that came with my dell 2400 series. When i try to uninstall Norton it tells me that I need to sign in as a Supervisor. My account is already set to administrator.

I have one more problem? when I tried to install Norton 2008, I was stuck again with an error saying that my firewall was blocking installation. I turned off my firewall and the same problem arose.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
