i'm trying to use the speakers that came with the monitor and i can't figure out how to use them

1) Make sure you have it plugged in correctly (pg 17 of the manual - link below to manual)
2) Make sure the volume control for your operating system is not on mute (Double click on the little icon of a speaker by your clock or go to Accessories/Entertainment folder in your start menu for volume control).
3) Make sure your computer has a sound card and it is working (Start Menu, My Computer, View System Info (top, left), Hardware tab, Device Manager, Sound/Video/Game controlers and click the + sign next to it to see the list of installed devices. Right click on the name and go to properties to see if it is working correctly.)

There will be a port on the back of the monitor or speakers that allows you to connect a cable to hook the speakers up to the speaker port on your computer. There may be a proprietary cable attachment. My Zenith monitor has an oddball plug on the monitor which uses a cable that ends with a standard 1/8" stereo plug at the other end.

Monitor will have a headphone like socket on it, and should have come with a 3.5mm stereo cable.
Connect 1 ent to monitor socket it fits and 1 to speaker output on PC
Details on location of socket will be in monitor manual
