password to an account and password to a file are different things

if you have XP PRO you can set "encryption" style to the file

right click on teh file and goto properties
at the bottom where it says "Attributes: " click on ADVANCE
on the new window that popups click on "Encrypt data content to secure data"
Hit Ok
Hit Apply

will encrypt the file and only your account [or the account you do it with] can open the file, no one else

Right click on "My Documents" and then click the "Sharing" tab. If the folder is shared it can be seen by anyone using the computer.
