You may very well Love John, but let me save you a lot of headaches. Those companies are not in business to give away there product. Those are come on's
None are truly free save your self the time and money by using a legitimate company that offers all you need in one place cheap.

.com domains are not free, you can buy them cheaply though. Try http://www.co.nr which is a free domain service which is easy to use.

Domain name and hosting is not expensive now a days...
And if you go for hosting you will get domain names for free..

You can use a service like http://www.no-ip.com/
where you prepend your name ahead of theirs...
IE: Your website would be yourname.no-ip.com
(they has a list of others instead of no-ip.com)
I don't know if they still have it, but I had one that was myname.nobeer.com and myname.beer.com
Check it out and look for NO-IP Free on the right side of the page

Create a site on geocties.com, then host it at www.dot.tk. it ends in .tk but it is free
