Hello everyone, i'm needing to upgrade my graphics card for all the awesome games coming out. I have a couple questions though. 1. How do I tell which ones my comp. is compatible with, like PCI, VGA, DVI, etc. 2. Which brand and one is the best one for Hard 3D games that I won't have to spend every last cent on?

I`d like to know if you can burn a cd with music that you find on you tube. If it`s so how is it done. If not, Then can you drag music from you tube and put it on your windows media player. How would you do that.

don't know what to do, everything else seems to work properly.

when clicking the log in, I get:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:

I want a laptop for christmas, and I keep looking them up on Ebay and Compaq.com and everything. The problem is, my family only has a budget of like, 1000 dollars for christmas presents (I THINK). So, I have to look for a laptop for 500 dollars and cheaper. I really really want one bad, and I was wondering if someone could tell me where to find some so I could tell my mom? (I know I might sound selfish, but I'm trying to think of Awesome gifts for my family, too, so please don't say "Think about what the real meaning of christmas is", and stuff like that, bcuz I already KNOW all of that, and I know that giving is the best gift of all and all that, but please, could someone help me? Just moved into my new house and i have a modem right now and have set up the wirelss network but i can't receive the singal downstairs. I know its just that the singal is not strong enough to reach downstairs but is there anyway i could make the singal stronger with a boster or somthing? I would like to keep the modem where is is upstairs so that i can get the internet up there.

Hey:

I'm rebuilding an Optiplex Gx260 the original hardrive has been removed. I have installed XP, but I can't get the onboard network adapter to work, I tried another adpater, again with no luck. Is there a driver I need can I download the set-up disk from somewhere?

in college, i did cobol, c, c++, java. With regards to jobs now and in the future, which of those is best to pursue further?
My personal fave was c, but im guessing that doesnt have a good future.

we also covered jsp and asp.net (with vb.net) for creating websites, so not sure if thats a better direction to go in?

Okay, so i was installing a patch for Internet Explorer named KB939653. My computer turned off during the installation (power surge). Now all three of my browsers are not working.(IE, Netscape, Firefox). I am connected to the internet, but the browser will behave like I am not.

Is there a way to uninstall this patch, so I can reinstall it?
Or, any other suggestions?

I installed Norton security now my computer crashes all the time when I close one window or post something on my blog.. Just crash crash crash. …If there is any website with the pop up information once I finish reading and close it crashes and wants to send report log all the time.

It only does this with the Internet not any other program. Even if other programs are open it will shut down only all Internet windows that are open.

It is not slow at all but just shut down most of the time.

I have tried to turn of firewalls, spyware and intrusion prevention each one at a time but still it didn’t fix my problem.

i am using win Xp home edition and the IE browser prior to install this I had mcfee and I didn't have any problem

Help me please.

I have broken and redone my computer a million of times simply coz the important stuff is backed up elsewhere....Here's the deal:
1. I was manually deleting suspicious .exe files in my C:/WINNT folder and its subfolders.
2. I disabled some services while trying to iron out a task manager bogging process.
3. Can't remember the number of services I disabled.
4. After a reboot, I am prompted for Username/Password Combo-instead of "loading my profile" I am returned to the same "username./password prompt. Doesn't work with the F8 submodes either just returns the same error.

(Just regular workgroup no networking)
5. Million $$$$$ Question:
What service is the culprit in this scenario
6. What's the way out of this? I don't happen to have a Windows 2K CD on me...
