Any ideas on an easy way to learn AutoCAD?

The easiest would be take a class. Which is the way I learned it. But that would also take some time and money. And to top it off all they will only scratch the surface. You will still have to lean a lot of it on your own. I think I would try Auto-cad for dummy's. I have used those Dummy books before and they seem to be pretty good. Amazon .com has it for $16.95 new and around 10 bucks used. Most text books are usually $75 or more. Auto-cad is not real complicated, but there is a lot of stuff to learn. I don't think anybody can learn everything it does.

AutoCAD is a matter of practice theres no real easy way or cheat, fool around with it a bit and you'll soon get the hang of it.

Easy - depends on the user.
Studying an engineering or design course would be the best way to learn and apply what you have learned.

Well, try getting instructed through 'sitting by Nellie', or in other words learn it by watching some conscientious and clever person who knows the ropes and who could be relied upon not to inculcate bad habits. Good luck!
