When i start my computer it works fine until 2 or 3 minutes the screen goes blue with writing on it and at the bottom it says the it is dumping physical memory and then it says the it has completled. Do i need to get a new hard drive or is it something more serius? The computer i have it a Dell Inspirion 6000.

Ok, I need to write a batch file to rename all files in a folder.
Called: 1.jpg_s.jpg 2.jpg_s.jpg and so on...
I just want to rename these to: 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg... etc
possibly by using a 'for' loop becuase there is no way of telling the total files to rename.

is a computer contains DDR memory with support for

DDR PC3200,
DDR PC4000 speeds

When shopping for new memory, do the PC numbers above make a difference, and if so, in what way ?

e.g. will PC4000 make my computer the fastest out of all 3 of them ?

Media Player is the basic internet video player.
Most websites use the 9 series to play their videos and even have a choice to use Flash Player if "Media Player doesn't
work".
I went and downloaded Media Player 9 and the latest but:

IT STILL WON'T LET ME WATCH THE VIDEOS ONLINE!

I can watch them with flash but every time I go on a website that ONLY uses Media Player it won't even load or play the video!

What am I doing wrong?

I have an old program (Jane's F/A 18 Combat Simulator) that i installed a while ago, but the install sequence screwed up and it didnt install correctly. now when i go to "add/ remove programs" in control panel, it says it cannot be uninstalled. i have also tried uninstalling using the disc, but it gives me the same error... any help is much appreciated.

I have a computer thats infested with ants. It's a WINCOR Touchscreen computer and it is FULL of ants. Will I damage the computer by spraying the inside of it with ant killer? I have disassembled it and cleaned it as well as I could, but there are still ants coming out of all of the tight places I can't disassemble and get to.

My dads computer wont let him sign in to anything (eg. Yahoo, Google), and it's really annoying. It's a Windows XP, Internet Explorer 7. We've tried everything: turning the privacy settings off, disabling all protection on Mcaffee. But it wont work! It says something about cookies aswell. ok so i just bought my first linksys wireless 2.4 Ghz broadband router. Im kinda stuck on how to install it. Getting a professional to install it costs about $50 so im just trying to do it myself.

so I have modem and I plugged in the thickish cord and the cor for the power. I put the cable for the linksys and then in this computer. wait what??? im stuck, i dont know what im doing.. can someone show me how its done? A picture would be extremely helpful

i have a acer aspire that im selling it has intel celeron,1.84ghz,80gb hd, windows vista, and is wireless. but i cant seem to sell it, we have had 3 ppl come to look at it but thet all say that they are looking at other i ones too. and if they dont buy it they will be back. I have a 2 year old Compaq Presario V2000, and I recently noticed that the fan is really, really loud, even while just browing the internet or typing in MS Word. I would understand if it was really loud while I would be downloading something or watching a video or anything Flash related, but is this normal during regular use?

If it isn't, anyone have any advice on what I should do? Buying a new one is not an option.
