Since we can't post pictures here, I'll try with words
Basic setup
CableModem ----> to Wan port of Linksys --> from Lan to computer.

That's it as far as hookup. So take the ethernet out of your modem connect to the WAN/Internet port on your router. Turn the ROUTER on. Then connect your computer with ethernet from any one of the LAN ports on the back of the router. (You need to setup the router with a CABLE first, if you want wireless that comes after the setup - once setup you can use wires or wireless you don't have to leave a computer connected at all.)

Once you connect your computer, turn it on! It will get an IP address from the router. IF you are on a standard cable connection that probably will just work and your connected. If you are using a DSL modem you may have to setup the PPPoE.. just run the CD or log into the router to set that.
The router can be reached at http://192.168.1.1 (linksys default) .

Good Luck - Not hard follow the quick install guide with the modem or get the one from the linksys link above.

What kind of computer do you have? If it's a PC there's a disk that came with the router to set it up for you. If you have a Mac it's more complicated since you have to do it manually.

Didn't this come with a manual? They always have simple pictures to follow in the manual.
