I have a Windows XP desktop with cable internet and modem. I also have this computer, a Vista laptop, with wireless internet from the other computer. This internet is working but the other can't seem to find a connection! Any ideas? If you have any questions just ask!

My wireless laptop has internet but my desktop doesn't. I have a message on the desktop saying "No Connection-Network Cable is Unplugged". Sorry for the confusion.

Let me see if I can help.
You can't get wireless connection from one computer to another without the use of a ROUTER.
Normally you have and Internet Service Provider and they furnish there subscribers with a MODEM.
This modem will allow you to connect via an Ethernet Cable to the modem.
At this point you do not have the capability to have wireless.
Now to obtain wireless you must connect an Ethernet Cable from your Internet Service Providers Modem to your choice of Multiport Wireless b/g ROUTER
This will then give you the ability to connect your XP Desktop with a ethernet cable and wireless to your other computer. All Routers come with step by step instructions.
