You probably have to go to C: Drive, and go to the "Drivers" folder, and click "audio" then install the driver for the audio. Just a guess, I don't know your computer

Look up the drivers for the device on the laptop manufacturers web site. You will probably see yellow exclamation points in the device manager. All these need to be resolved for things to operate correctly. Device manager can be found by right clicking on My Computer>Properties>Hardware Tab>Device Manager.

Hi. The sound device may be muted. To fix, go to "Start> All programs> Accessories> Entertainment> Volume control." Experiment.
