Okay, so i was installing a patch for Internet Explorer named KB939653. My computer turned off during the installation (power surge). Now all three of my browsers are not working.(IE, Netscape, Firefox). I am connected to the internet, but the browser will behave like I am not.

Is there a way to uninstall this patch, so I can reinstall it?
Or, any other suggestions?

Have you tried a reinstall without removing it? I have had marginal success doing that with some patches. The reinstall should write over the existing corrupt file. It may tell you the file exists and ask if you want to overwrite it. You do, so take the appropriate action at that time.

Good luck...

Yes, you go into the add/remove programs and delete it from there. You need to make sure to check/uncheck the box at the top that says "show updates" look in there for the update # you specified above and then delete it. Restart after deleting any updates from your computer. Also, the update you tried installing will be under the IE7 in the add/remove programs. I have it already and that is where mine is at. I don't think that single file would mess up all three of the browsers though, I think it is your connection. Try resetting your modem/router by unplugging them for about a minute or hitting the reset button that maybe on them.

Did you look at Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel? Make sure you check the box for Show Updates.

I dont see how that patch could be causing Netscape (GAH..YOU KIDDING ME?) or Firefox to have issues...I bet the problem is your router or your NIC. Try unplugging your modem and your router for a minute, then plug in the modem, then one minute later, plug the router. Restart your PC.

you can view installed updates through the install/uninstall menu. Just look on the left side for uninstall windows updates.
Also reinstalling firefox (use another computer if you can) that might fix it unless its an update for windows files and not just IE.
