every time i go to a search site and click on the link to go to that website, it takes me somewhere completely different. like those crap generic search sites.
Was my computer hacked? How do I fix this?

I installed Diablo 2, but I don't have the play disk. I tried to use the No-CD crack--the .exe one. But it still kept saying; "Insert Play disk." Eventually I downloaded a different crack.

But now instead of saying insert play disk, it says: "Diablo II has encountered an error." And it closes--I've tried to play it over and over but it's still not working. Any idea why it is doing this? And maybe how I can fix it?

I have a wireless router through which I access internet on my Personal Desktop Computer. I log in to my office laptop on the office domain. I want to transfer files directly from my desktop to my laptop. Is it possible through the wireless connection since both my laptop and desktop access internet through the same router.

I am using excel .If I place 2 (striked out using cell formatting)in A2, i need the value to be returned as zero in B2.
If I remove the"stike through" format in A2, then I need the value 2 to be displayed in B2.

Is it possible in excel?

Hoping someone can help...

I've changed my broadband from BT to sky, but I'm still able to use BT the way I always did, I mean like I can still sign in to BT Yahoo Homepage, use my email address etc..

I thought all of that would have been lost when I switched? I spoke with BT and they said that I'm not signed up for their broadband so I said no more but I''m just panicking incase it should have been cut off completely (if this makes sense?)

I just thought that my homepage would become Sky or something but it's still BT icons and layout even when I do sign into sky??

Hope this is making some sort of sense and that someone can explain it for me!

I installed DVD43. I inserted my DVD and the icon went from normal to devil face to green face. It says "1/2 devices detected - Idle." Is that all that has to be done with the program, or are there other steps i need to do through to decrypt my DVD?

When hover over the internet connection Icon at the bottom right cornner of my screen it says Connection Status Unknown. Also when I try to interact with this icon it takes FOREVER for me to get into the options to view my wireless settings. Im using wireless card to connect to a router. Its this big delay. I have a windows vista wireless client and xp. For some reason they both do not want to connect to this router. On my windows vista when I diagnosed the connection it said "Windows cannot connect to "my network" Wireless association failed because windows did not receive any response from the wireless router or access point." I have full bars adn everything so Im not sure how to correct this. Please someone help

Basically:
I have a laptop.
My laptop's hard drive emmits clicks and taps (very, very quiet, but noticeable)
I have read a lot about the so-called CLICKS OF DEATH that indicate imminent hard drive failure, but HP tech support assures me that they are quite normal and nothing to worry about.
I, however, am going to be using this laptop a lot over the next year and use it to store valuable data. I cannot afford a hard drive failure.

does anyone here experience similar sounds? do i need too replace my drive or forget about it?

Laptop is brand new btw.

It's in the sitebar of my screen, on every page. I understand it's a virus or trojan. Techsupportguy and Geekstogo say to download HijackThis and some other things I've never heard of but not to delete anything, just to copy and paste the logs into their forums. There, the advice stops. Isn't there an antivirus program I can just download to get rid of it? I keep thinking there has to be a simple way to do this.

i wanted to help a friend get rid of a messenger virus(or what it is) that keept sending mass messages for a month or so so i took it and managed to fix the mass sending and stuff but then i found out that it erased some of my browsers and changed and stuck my homepage but that was not so alarming ... then i saw that i have no more run button in the start menu and task manager was no more and regedit dissapered and also .reg files ar not recognised by my computer and i can't change file options like show extention or show hidden(witch were on before) ... and i think that's all but who knows what i'll run in to next ... anybody know how to fix this(without anything of what i sayd) or do i have to reinstall windows again?
