Which one is upgraded, Pentium M or Intel core SOLO processor(with same speed)?

Can I replace an Intel core SOLO processor with a Dual core processor in a laptop? pl.

The Core Solo is improved over the Pentium M though not by much.

I think it uses the same socket as the Core Duo so you should be able to upgrade but make sure that if you've got an LV or ULV chip that the upgrade is the same.
