It's in the sitebar of my screen, on every page. I understand it's a virus or trojan. Techsupportguy and Geekstogo say to download HijackThis and some other things I've never heard of but not to delete anything, just to copy and paste the logs into their forums. There, the advice stops. Isn't there an antivirus program I can just download to get rid of it? I keep thinking there has to be a simple way to do this.
Thanks for any help you can offer. And a guaranteed Best Answer to anybody who can fix it.

HijackThis is the best tool for this kind of problem.

However, you can Start > Run > Regedit. Then Edit > Find for EGhost_Reg_Fail.

If you are unfamiliar with registry changes, you can add an ' (apostrophe, unshifted quote mark) at the left end of the entry.

If there's a problem, just remove the apostrophe.
