i want to create a home network between a desktop (host)(main computer) and a laptop (secondary computer). I want to be able to access the desktop of the host computer from the laptop and vis-a-versa. Any help?

I am using laptop with windows xp. Since few weeks i noted that any usb pen drives or sony ericsson mass storage device is not detected automatically as it used to be. However in my computer, device manager if i select my device and uninstall it, it detects the device next time. However, next time again i have to repeat this procedure. Windows is not detecting the drives automatically. Please help

Ok so i downloaded this video on torrents, i tried playing it on my windows media 11 player it only showed me the sound not the visual and on the bottom of the player it says im gonna need a codec or something like that in order to see the video.....i suppose, so can anyone send me good codec downloads so i can finally watch my video?

I have verizon, the first time i set it up on my computer i had to type the password an username to sign in and use it, but after i reformatted my computer i don't have to do it, but it was kind of slow.

Do i have to sign in? i forgot my password and username.

I'm a Visual Basic/C# programmer and am now trying to transition over to C++a bit. I can really use help tho, see I want to learn how to make a simple message box show in C++. How can I transfer somthing like msgbox("yo") to C++?

Also maybe even changing to another form (vbcode: form2.show)

I would like a program that allows me to use my laptop as basically a tv remote, like the Omniremote programs does for my palm pilot. I am mad at the cable company for increasing their prices. If I decide to go with a local phone service and DirectTV then I would have to switch from cable internet to DSL. I have had a bad experience in the past with DSL, but haven't tried it in over 6 years. I just want to get some input from DSL users to see if the speeds are comparable to cable. DSL offers me speeds up to 1.5 Mb.
