Would having more than one adaptor per pc help? Like one inside and another USB one?

Also, my friend says he wraps wire round the aerial of his wireless router and this makes it work better- Is that plausible?

Thank you all for such kind repplies, however I think I need to give you a bit more info about what I am looking for. I spend a lot of time working away from the web while with clients. When I get back to the web in the evening I need to copy all that info to the database and that takes a lot of time. Ideally I want to have something that allows me to work offline and then when connected to the web to just press a button to add all the info.

The RX520 can scan 35mm negatives but I have some old 120 size negs (85mmx50mm) I would like to scan these with a light box but the scanner limits me to a strip of 270mm x 27mm. Any ideas about how to change the size of the scanned area when using a light box?

On google earth, when zooming in i can get good clear pictures pretty close up in some places particularly in the UK and some cities eg, new york, but i cant get a clear close up of other places around the world. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to do something to make it better? please help.

I really like the new iMAC but Im not sure its for me. Ive only had windows computers.I have used some of the older ones that were just horrible, have they made inprovements? Btw I mainly use my computer for internet,multimedia &sometimes games.

i bought a new laptop yesterday. HP. it was preloaded with Windows Vista Home Premium which is pure garbage. Plus, it was preloaded with a bunch of useless applications that i can not even uninstall from ADD/REMOVE. i must delete them manually by deleting each folders. 20GB of 160GB HD was used up already for those junks. So i thought if i could download a copy of Windows Vista Home Premium and do a fresh installation since i have the cd key on the bottom of my laptop. but where can i download it? or get it? i just need the cd. Recovery discs will just reinstall back all the junks again. any help would be great thx!

I recently had clearwire as a service provider and had a router connected to the EtherNet port. Having had problems with ClearWire, I switched to Quest. Well when the guy hooked up quest, he took out the router and connected the quest hook ups to the EtherNet port. I have no Idea where to put the router cable now, as there is only one Ethernet port. Does anyone know what to do? Or do I need to buy a spliter?

I develop highly customized apps in 2003 excel. I would like to demonstrate some of my work. I don't use VBA. The information is very user friendly for updating in the future. Charts, Graphs, spreadsheets, Chart feedback, material takeoffs for construction that tell what the appropriate material to purchase would be for a given area or application, Geo Technical. I would like to post some freebies on line to demonstrate this. Can anyone suggest where I might put these for folks to see what I can do? I would prefer not to use every freebie dot com site available. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty new on ebay and I just bought a sidekick 3. Its been 3 days and I still haven't heard anything. I dont know if my item has been shipped or not and I'm getting a little worried. Shoul d I? i've had a dell laptop for almost a year now and it's been working perfectly, until now. internet says it's connected but i can't go online. my sister and mom have the same exact laptop and they can go online here. also, mine works in other houses. i've tried clicking the router on and off at my house but it doesn't work. help!

I typed a search into limewire and hit the search button and almost instantaneously my wireless signal in the task bar showed that I had just lost my signal completely. Also showed the same on the limewire "connection" signal. I stopped search and selected to let microsoft run my wireless network instead of the belkin software and now works fine. What gives?
