why would doing a search on limewire kill my wireless internet signal?

I typed a search into limewire and hit the search button and almost instantaneously my wireless signal in the task bar showed that I had just lost my signal completely. Also showed the same on the limewire "connection" signal. I stopped search and selected to let microsoft run my wireless network instead of the belkin software and now works fine. What gives?

Have you tried taking your computer over to a freinds house or a hot spot and trying the wirless connection their if it does not drop with it on differnt wirless connection then its not a issue with lime wire. if it does not drop on a differnt wiress connection then its a consquence

Second thing I would try is connecting your comptuer directly to your router with a cat 5 cable to see if it drops on thier if it does then you may have some sort of bug on the computer if it does not then its just a consquence

I have seen a lot of issue with the belkin routers they are not the best if you have the doe I would recomend Netgear routers they do such a great job I would stay away from linksys as well a lot of people like them but I do not.

I would also not evan use lime wire you are opening your self up to a lot of Grey Ware akw spyware attacks that come through that.

With out seeing the issue in person its kind of hard to give you just one answer on why this happening but let me know if any of the answers I gave you helps and yes I would recomend leting windows control your wirless connection

It may not have been Limewire at the moment you clicked search you could have had a bad bit of interference. Like if you had a wireless phone on at the same time or some one elles is using your wifi. Or you just were running too many internet items at once and it over loaded your router.

Because Limewire sucks. Uninstall it and get your music and your software legally.
