98% of time I'm in camera section so this is new to me. Me and my daughter want to get Microsoft Word. I guess it comes in package of sorts. If one just wanted Word, what would be a good price, and what reputible place do you suggest? She goes to college in fall.

If your daughter is going to college, she will most likely need to know (or learn) Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. There are a variety of MS Office packages, but there is one that is a student/academic version that is much less expensive. You can look at the Office options at the Microsoft website. To find a reasonably priced version (or package), you might try swexpress.com or provantage.com for starters. And keep an eye on the sale pages for computer stores in the next couple of weeks; they often sell it at a discount near the start of school.

Word is part of Microsoft Office and not generally sold separately, but the Home and Student edition of Office is a reasonably priced product. It may even come in a three license pack.
