i've had a dell laptop for almost a year now and it's been working perfectly, until now. internet says it's connected but i can't go online. my sister and mom have the same exact laptop and they can go online here. also, mine works in other houses. i've tried clicking the router on and off at my house but it doesn't work. help!
* i have a 3 year warranty but do you think the people there can do anything to fix the internet problem?

If you're using wireless, try uninstalling the wireless card in Device Manager and letting it reinstall again. Our Dells need that every now and then. If it's the ethernet port, they have a problem with dhcp sometimes. You have to go to a command prompt and type "ipcongig /release" and "ipcongig /renew" to fix it.

Turn the laptop off and then abck on, sometimes it just hangs. If that does not work, do a right click on the little computer near the clock and tell it to show all wireless connections and then to search for all of them. When it finds the router tell it to conenct, should work fine. If not call the Dell tech support people.
