I think someone hacked into my network and changed the admin password on and now its not doing DHCP

I just got a new laptop with window vista home premium and cannot get the disk to install all the way, it get to step 5 out of 6 and that it, so I cannot get online to the sbc dsl site but I can update other programs and window update, I am using the disk that I got from sbc for xp a few years ago, (disk verison 3.12-000-ACSX. sbcy22810094 sbc yahoo dsl broad jump power), so I don't know if I need a new disk for vista, so if anyone know where I can download sbc for vista let me know, already look on sbc download site and cannot find anything or I am looking in the wrong place. Computer --Dell Inspiron

hi, My mother lives in Virgina and she cannot get high speed internet (cable or DSL) in her area. Is there a way ( know there is satellite but from what I hear it is expensive and it's only high speed one way..) to get high speed internet without paying an arm and a leg instead of using dial up? Thank you!!

Google currently censors a lot of searches in China, but they also filter out results in the US. For instance, they remove torrent sites (basically sites that link to movies, music, etc that you can download, see torrentspy.com for an example).

i'd like to share an internet connection between a g3 ibook with osx 10.3.9 and a desktop with win xp. it would be a wired connection. is this possible at all; do i need some special software for it? what specific configurations do i need to do on each of the two computers?
i could connect them for file sharing before, but never tried to make an internet 'network'. so i'm curious if i should bother at all:)

how do I name my page in dreamweaver so it shows up correctly on the browser?

For example, I want the homepage to just show up as www.kate.com not www.kate.com/home_html

I need it so like any other website the main page is on www.kate.com and not the other way, how do I do this?

I have a Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless G Router. I've had it for about 6 months and it's worked nearly fault free. I got home from holiday tonight & found that it had been switched off from the mains and when it was switched back on would not connect to the internet. After checking the router I saw that the phone light was not illuminated. I've tried unplugging and replugging it with little success. Any ideas? Does anyone know what might be wrong?

ok-i read on here that you cannot download microsoft outlook online for free.are there any FREE things like that (with a calendar and contacts thing) that i can download that WONT harm my computer??? the thing is i want 2 sync the calendar and contacts 2 my ipod nano (second gen.).or tell me anything else i could do??? My 100 foot network cable that I ran upstairs last fall has been so much better. Was able to use my router and still have a pc upstairs. But, a problem has arising. The end that plugs into the computer doesnt clip in anymore (the prong broke off). Do they sell any type of glove or anything that I can put on it fix it. It becomes loose easily and most people say just buy a new cable its cheap enough. But my time and money of rewiring it is not worth it to me. Is there any type of device I can use or any suggestions? Thanks.

To download Beryl it wasnt just 1 file named install. It was about 16 different Ziped Files with a whole bunch of stuff inside.

Do i have to download all of them and placethem individually? IDONT understand!
