My 100 foot network cable that I ran upstairs last fall has been so much better. Was able to use my router and still have a pc upstairs. But, a problem has arising. The end that plugs into the computer doesnt clip in anymore (the prong broke off). Do they sell any type of glove or anything that I can put on it fix it. It becomes loose easily and most people say just buy a new cable its cheap enough. But my time and money of rewiring it is not worth it to me. Is there any type of device I can use or any suggestions? Thanks.

Electricians tape mate, theres that then trying a quick superglue fix, just dont get any on the wireing, it should hold and should still be pretty ok,

splitting the cable would be a no go, unless you can keep every strand seperate then make sure u put them into the right places if you replaced just the actual connection.

i would just try some electricians tape on the back or if you still have the clip gluing it together

if the computer is NOT having intermittent connectivity issues(where windows shows the cable is unplugged occasionally), you can just leave it alone and it will probably work fine. If you are a perfectionist or if the computer starts having connectivity issues you can try to repair the cable. You would need to buy a crimper and look up the cable standards listed below and recrimp the cable. Doing this does take a moderate bit of experience though, so it might need to be something to ask a local tech nerd or somebody with computer experience to do. I will also include a link to purchase a cheap cable crimper.

If you can get away without the little clip, I wouldn't worry about it. If you need it, go buy yourself a CAT5 wire crimper, cut the end off and put a new plug on the end.

Yeah just buy the 5 wire end, and replace it,(tip: use a needle to get the metal ends to slide out, just depress the tang on the side,[inside the plastic piece]
