I'm pretty new on ebay and I just bought a sidekick 3. Its been 3 days and I still haven't heard anything. I dont know if my item has been shipped or not and I'm getting a little worried. Shoul d I? I dont mind waiting but, I would just like to know if the item was actually shipped. Also, is there anyway of finding out that the seller has shipped the phone?

A lot of sellers don't contact the buyer unless there is a problem with the shipment, etc. I as a seller, don't contact a buyer until after they receive their product (I use delivery confirmation every time to make sure they get it), to make sure they are happy with it.

I'd say wait 7 days. If you haven't received it, politely email the seller and ask when it was shipped. I had a situation when I bought something on 8-6, and still hadn't gotten it by 9-15. I emailed the seller and asked about it. Got an email back, saying they were backed up, and would ship it the next day. I got it 8-18. Problem solved.

Just remember, you have recourse if you don't get it withing a reasonable amount of time (maybe 2 weeks). Just go to your 'My eBay' page, look down the left side, and click on 'Dispute Console'. Click on it, and you will be lead through the steps to file an 'item not received' dispute.

Good luck!

It depends on the seller. Some are excellent and some are terrible. I usually contact them before bidding to see how response time is -- that combined with their feedback rating helps me determine whether to bid or not.
