I ask this question as it's only been a few years that I have been on the internet. My sole reason was that a friend of mine was downloading movies for his personal viewing and as I prefer a good film to most things on tv, I thought I would try it myself. People are of the belief that people like me are getting something for free, but in essence, were not. The computer itself cost a small fortune, then I bought a dvd drive for it, I have also spent a fortune on discs, paper, cases and various other things, and then finally I pay a small fortune a month for the broadband. If I couldn't download this type of thing then I would just get rid of everything, which includes the phone (it would work out cheaper for me on pay as you go mobile). By the way, I still go to the movies to watch certain movies, just as much as I used to. My belief is that if people like myself were stopped from doing this, it would cost millions to everyone concerned with computers, software and internet providing.

I can get in on another computer in the house. I am working off a laptop connected to our home network. I am running anti-spyware, anti-virus, and all that. I tried it shutting down those programs. When I log in it just brings me back to the log in screen. No errors. Nothing wrong with my id or password. I am allowing all cookies. I cleared my cache and cookies. Please, this is a real question. Thanks!

In the bottom right of the screen when I move the cursor over the tiny icon it says as follows;

"Local Area Network
Speed; 100 Mbps
Status connected"

However, if I'm downloading a file or uploading a video on Youtube it downloads at a speed of 15 kilobytes per second. Is this normal or am I missing out on something?

I already have cablespeed right know and I really like it, but I am getting ready to move in a few weeks and where I am moving to it already has cable so there is no need for me to sign up for a cable bill. So I was wondering if DSL is just as fast as the cablespeed than I might as well go with DSL instead of making another cable account at the same address.So my question is which one is better/ faster, please help?

I have a page built that is updated from time to time. It does not have tables in it and I don't want to put them in. This week the update features several photos with captions that need to go below the photos. This is the way it will need to be from now on. So I want to learn how to make captions WITHOUT tables (so please no explanations that use tables).

I am looking for the entire code not just an explanation.

I would like a way to automatically mark (color, add a character to the beginning of the contents, whatever...) every cell in a worksheet that matches a particular value.

I have a spreadsheet that is 8000 lines long and I have to look up the contents of each of the cells. Some of the cells are repeated, so I would only have to look them up once, but as soon as I passed 100, I couldn't remember what I had seen already. Is there a formula or a macro I can use to mark the cells that match the ones I've already seen(even if I have to add the entry manually every time) such as "find all the cells that have contents = "bear" and make them yellow (or prepend an xxxxx to the contents, etc)?

Does anyone actually know of anybody who's been searched and hurt or anything because they put enough information about themselves on the Internet? I've heard stories and recieved chain letters about it, but I've never actually heard of anybody in real life that's had it happen. I run track and they post results on the Internet from the track meets and on the results you can find out my name, age, and where I live. Is that dangerous to have that information about me on there? I can't really control that though, because I'm not going to quit track!

I have a field in my database with the following data in it:
"12/1/2004 10:02:14 AM"
They are the time and date the sales transaction took place. I would like to SUM all of the sales that took place during the 10 AM hour, 11 AM hour, 12 pm hour, and so on. How do I select out only the hour characters and the am/pm characters?

The OS will be Windows XPHome Edition. The old HD is available but not installed and since the sound card, graphics card and CD-ROM drive have been upgraded, and a DVD-ROM has been added, using the old hard drive would be more work than it's worth. But if I can boot just to the a: drive with generic CD-ROM support, then I bypass all the problems I would have with the old hd and be able to format and partition the 200 GB HD with the disk that came with it.

A message board I visit only allows 1 registered user for each IP address. This is the question:
If I visit the message board at home, then I visit the same one at work, then will I be able to create another account at home? Since the first account is now using the work IP...

Tbl 1: AcctNum, AcctName, AcctType Tbl2: AcctType, PackageName Tbl3: AcctName, PackageName, Cases.

There are multiple AcctTypes with multiple PackageNames. Tbl3 is the data table. In Tbl3, there are more PkgNames than what is in tbl2 for that acctName/AcctType. Problem is to account for missing PackageName in tbl3. Need to display all the packagenames from Tbl2 that correspond to a particular Acctname plus the fields from Tbl3
This is what I have so far but doesn't show all the PkgNames for that account
Select tbl2.PkgName, tbl3.Cases FROM tbl1 INNER JOIN(tbl2 INNER JOIN tbl3 ON tbl2.PkgName=tbl3.PkgName) ON tbl1.AcctType=tbl2.AcctType and tbl1.AcctName=tbl3.AcctName
WHERE AcctNum=parameter

I hope someone can help me with this.
