If you want to set up a Remote Desktop Connection, firs you must make the systems to communicate with each other.
If both the system can communicate with each other, you can easily configure Remote Desktop Connections from Right Clicking My Computer and Taking the properties.
If you can give some mroe details about your network, then I will gieve some more suggestion.
Cheers!

Let's call the locations A and B.
Set up the LAN IP addresses at Location A using the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. This means that all LAN devices at location A have LAN IP 192.168.1.x, subnet mask 255.255.255.0. I would make the router IP 192.168.1.1 which is also the default gateway and the DNS for this LAN. I would give each pc I want to remotely access a static LAN IP and I would then reduce the DHCP pool substantially. Let's say you have 25 pcs at A. I would reserve, for static IP use, the 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.155 for static IP and leave the 192.168.1.156 - 192.168.1.255 for the DHCP range. This is probably a lot more than needed but it is better to have more than not enough.
Similarly for Location B, I would assign the LAN IP in the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet. I would use the same DHCP and static assignment and assignment reservations here.
Please note you cannot have location A and location B on the same subnet or chaos will reign. (We do not want chaos in office ever
Now you did not indicate how you wish to link locations A and B.
If you have a point - point T1 dedicated line, you need an access not a gateway router and I would assign the WAN IP at location A at 10.10.10.1 and at B at 10.10.10.1 Set up a static routing table (there is no wisdom to use an automated routing protocol like RIP, BGP, etc as it is so simple). You did not identify which side is to have Internet access so you need to provide Internet at one location and fold this into the routing protocol.
If you have a Point - to Internet, you must purchase a router that enables vpn to reside on the router. For CATV (cable internet) and DSL, consider either the Adtran Netvanta 2050 enhanced (for small network) or the Adtran Netvanta 2100. For Point to Internet T1, consider the Adtran Netvanta 3200 with a T1/FT1 NIM interface.
Set up a Virtual Private Network between A and B.
Enable remote desktop on all pcs you wish to access.
With VPN enabled between the 2 locations, you can proceed to use Remote Desktop to access pcs. You can also swap files back and forth, back up location A to location B, etc.
