Hi, I am doing a dissertation and I am trying to embed the flash "movie" swf file into powerpoint. I was already given permission and told that I need to "capture" it? I don't know how to do this, can someone help? I don't have flash either.

Hi,

It all depends upon the permissions that are in the flash animation file and where the file is. If you have access to the SWF file then all you have to do in PowerPoint is Insert> Movies and Sounds > Movie from File.

If the SWF file is on a web page if you right click on it and are offered the ability to save the file then you're all set.

If the SWF file doesn't offer the ability to save it, then you need to use a screen capture program. Camtasia is one such program, but there are others.
