if i get a vpn router will it stop the throttling of p2p connections.............or will i have to sign up with a service on the net?

I'd really like to use this software, but since it wants to create a library on its own, I'd rather use ACDSee, which doesn't start creating backups and a library on its own. I just want to use Picasa2 to browse my directories, and have the choice to manipulate one every once in a while. I don't want a huge library kept by Picasa. Is there any way to do this with Picasa that I have overlooked, or is it Picasa's way or the highway?

I am looking to find away to get to a chatroom that is easy to connect to from all networks. I have AOL, and many other people that I want to connect with might have other connections. I want to start my own chatroom. Does anyone know how? Or any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Whenever i play Call OF Duty, my computer sometimes crashes and shows a blue screen saying 'Beggining To Dump Physical Memory." What does that mean and why do i keep getting it? Is there a way for this to stop?

I have an old computer, a no-name I built in a class. I have added memory, improved the operating systems, added storage, replaced the video card but I finally wore out my old CD-Rom and had to retire it.

Got a good deal on a CD-RW/DVD-Rom to replace the crapped out CD-Rom, and it works very well in that capacity, and also works well in burning CD's. But DVD playback sucks.

Anybody know any easy ways to smooth this out? My processor is 800 MHz. I don't really have to have it, but it would be nice if I could. (I've got enough DVD players attached to TVs, but it would be nice if I could play DVDs on my computer.)

If I'm SOL that's no big deal.

I am using my cell phone as a dial up modem. As I move around my house, my laptop loses reception from my wireless router, so I connect to the internet with my cell phone as a modem. However, when both are connected, I have to disconnect my dial up connection because when both wi-fi and dial up connected, the internet is only as fast as the dial up.

I am making my first desktop computer. I followed the directions and put everything in but the computer would come on for 4-5 secs and then go off.

Then I decided to take out everything except the mobo and the power supply connecting it but its still doing it. It will come on and then go off. The mobo's light is on (green) so it is getting power.

The motherboard is ASUS M2N SLI and the power supply is Antec ATX 650 Watt. The case is Antec P180 if that makes a difference. The power supply's fan also comes on.

I am just wondering what maybe wrong as I have spent 3-4 hours on this and can't figure it out. Can someone please help me out on this?

I am usaully able to connect to the internet through my wireless router, but whenever i restart my computer, I cant connect for a few hours, and now i cant connect at all. I did a ping test, so I konw the card is good.
If it helps, when i set up a network connection on computer 1, it displays my wireless card. but when i try to set it up on computer 2, it only displays some LAN thing i can never connect too. and it says under the description "connected,firewalled"
if the firewalls the problem, how do I un firewall it? ive tryed taking off my firewall, but it doesnt do anything.

Now, what should I do to stop users from giving a blank value for the password.

The encoding is done in ASCII. So, I need to fix the password limit between 3 and 9 characters consisting of only letters and numbers (case-sensitive) and no special characters.

I'm using .css for a layout, and it looks perfect on my Mac OSX Safari. Unfortunately, when I look on the Windows Explorer, it is pushed way over to the right! I try to change the px paddings and margins, but they just turn into a huge mess on my Mac. I really don't want it to look like a 'hack job', so can you think of anything that could help me center it on both internet systems?

If i have a MacBook, will i be able to download programs (adobe reader, etc) from websites such as downloan.com? Or would MacBook probihit users to use those programs/softwares?

I am looking forward to buying a MacBook for the most basic usage. internet, microsoft office (for mac), music, movies...that's all i can think of...once in awhile, rarely, i will purchase some software for educational purposes...is that true that nowadays many softwares are compatible with MAC?

Anything else i should be aware of when making a decision whether to buy a Mac or Windows?
