According to the Microsft website,"You cannot use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to computers running Windows XP Home Edition." I was able to use Remote Desktop Connection on my XP Home PC to connect to my Vista PC, but not the other way around. I was wondering if anyone know if there was some client I could install on my XP PC that would allow me to use Remote Desktop Connection to remote to my XP Home PC from my Vista PC. Not a big deal to install a 3rd party app, but I would like to use Microsoft's. Thanks for any help.

about a year ago i made the copy of this disk for my dell computer. A few months later, i ran the Backup CD for a problem. once my backup is complete, one final stage is left and that is validating my Windows XP (genuine WDOWS) with a whole bunch of numbers. ( Not sure what it is called. They gave me a number to get me the numbers to the Windows validation complete which is the end of the backup. they gave me a number to call microsoft phone support . i called the number and they asked me a bunch of questions about the computer ex. service tag etc.... i got my number and my windows was valiadated.



Now the question is can i do this again?

the concern is that microsoft may think this is an illegal copy of Windows Xp or something.

P.S i didnt write down the valiadation number. :-(

1/ I tried with Ctrl+D nothing show up.
2/ right click on file and there's only "Play, Add to Window Media Player List, Open With, and Send To.." there's no Delete, Properties, Copy, Cut, Rename, and Create Shortcut.

How do I delete these files??? please

Im looking on ebay for an AGP graph card but there seems to be two different pin variations.(their pins arent in the same spot) they look like they would bothfit in my comp but one would have a little gap.
Look like this
1L................................... llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. lllllllllllllllllll and
2L................................... lllllllllllllllllllll.llllllllllllllllll. lllllllllllllllllll
so yea my slot looks like
SL.................................. (.............................) (..............)
so they look like they would both fit, but theres no little plastic divider to stop the first one from being able to be put in.
Does anyone have the same slot but with the 2nd card? working? becau8se most on ebay are the second kind.

When I download the free trial, then I start the set up, when the box comes up and starts to install it, it brings up a error message saying I need to close Internet Explorer. So I did that, and it still came up. Then I closed down the net compleatly (disabled the net), and it still came up ... Any clues on how to get it to install?

Why do most website where you can upload videos need to end with a certain code? Because I went on 4 wbsites and my movies coudn't work. My movies are a little cartoon-y and they all end with tt3. Does anyone know a website that can upload any kind movies no matter what they end with?

I'd like to create an adobe acrobat .pdf with hyperlinks from an open office document.... and not have to write out the whole webaddress in the paper. Do I need to purchase something? Am I entering the hyperlinks incorrectly? They work in openoffice, but not after I export them into a .pdf. Any help appreciated!

I am trying to install Vista (Ultimate) on my laptop. I can install it just fine but when it restarts it's stuck the loading screen and it stays there for hours. I know my laptop is Vista capable, I also ran the "Vista Upgrade Advisor" and it said my system was good for Ultimate.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? It's been at the loading screen for 4 hours, it can't possibly take that long to install. I installed Vista on a friends computer before and it took like 5 minutes. I have tried both the 32bit and the 64bit. They do the same. And BTW I got the upgrade version.

I bought a CD on eBay, and I got a burnt CD. I expected the CD to be from the actual company that produces that software, not something he burnt on his computer. I've re-read the auction many times, over and over, trying to see if I missed something.

But the auction doesn't say anywhere that is a burnt CD or a new one, but you'd figure it's a new one.

I want to give him a negative feedback, but I have 100% possitive feedback. I'm affraid he'll give me negative feedback back from giving him a bad one.

Should I give him negative feedback?

Whenever I drag the mounted application to the trash, the program doesn't work. I tried moving the application icon to the applications folder before deleting the mount, but it still doesnt work. How do I keep it permanent while deleting the mount?
