my camera is an old one & i purchased the laptop with vista on it and now my digital camera cd can support all older operating systems and not vista which is recent. what do i do to make the whole thing work?

i checked the camera's website and they are have no options for me. the new version of the picture package software i at $30. i don't want to spend so much on new sw for an old camera.
