According to the Microsft website,"You cannot use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to computers running Windows XP Home Edition." I was able to use Remote Desktop Connection on my XP Home PC to connect to my Vista PC, but not the other way around. I was wondering if anyone know if there was some client I could install on my XP PC that would allow me to use Remote Desktop Connection to remote to my XP Home PC from my Vista PC. Not a big deal to install a 3rd party app, but I would like to use Microsoft's. Thanks for any help.

As you've read, Windows XP Home doesn't have the Remote Desktop "host" included. There's no way for you to add it aside from upgrading XP to the Pro version.

The Remote Desktop "client" can actually be used from almost any version of Windows (98, 2000, XP Home, etc) to connect to other computers that are using the "host". In fact, Microsoft makes the client a free download on their site. But of course, that's not what you're looking for.

I'd go with a 3rd-party app like PcAnywhere. VNC is freeware, and would be my 2nd option...

particular. It has a considerable income in that it may cope with sixty 4 bit hardware and utility. XP is in basic terms 32 bit platform. by using doubling the channel bandwidth your gadget would run two times as rapid regardless of if the processor replaced into the comparable clock velocity. help?;-)=
