Two days ago i went into a website which turned out to be riddled with viruses and is affecting the performance of my computer. Among the viruses are "trojans" and something about privacy. I spent all day using spyware which detected over 109 infected files and my computer still has viruses! I know this because the computer is still slow and there is an annoying red warning sign is the corner of the screen. Finally do I use quarantine or delete viruses?

It is going on 4 hours since I started formatting a second hard drive I am installing on my system. I would like to shut down the computer and add a USB port but I don't want to have to start the formatting process all over again. I am using Windows XP SP2 on a Compaq Deskpro EN 733 P3 SFF with a processor speed of 733Megahertz and 256MB of RAM. If anyone knows approximately how long it will take to format a 160GB hard drive (NTFS) with this computer please be obliged to provide that information as well. Thanks

Should I update my IE to IE 7? I was gonna update it because an application error popped up everytime I closed the browser from myspace but it's not doing it anymore. Should I still update it? And does the IE 7 got internet options where you can clear your history and your temp files etc.? Does anyone know why that application error thing came up? But I think it stopped.

I ordered a Logitech webcam online, assuming it came with the installation cd rom, but it doesn't. I asked my computer to search for it, but can't find it. How can I install my webcam?? I don't want to have to order a cd and wait two more weeks to get it. Can I download it free online anywhere?

Okay, I'm 14 and I have this real...addiction...
Every time a computer's on and my parents are out, I look at porn. I always hate myself for doing it afterwards, and after today, I got this huge Trojan that I can't get rid of (VirusProtectPro v3.4...plz give me info on how to get rid of them!!!) and my parents are going to kill me! I have SpyBot, AdAware, and Trend Micro but they won't get rid of the whole thing. How do I stop the impulses to look at pornography?!

I recently switched to cable service provider which gave me a modem as internet package but i wanted wireless service within certain area since i had it before and had grown used to it. I know the wireless works just fine when i am near the router but no sooner i go 10 feet away the network signal bumps down to very Low signal strength. This is annoying cuz i have a hotel and the customers stay atleast 20 feet away from the router. Am i missing out on something or shud i do something to boost the network? cud the router have technical problems? Thank you

after frying my motherboard & installing a new asrock p4i65g, i started to recieve boot up problems. my pc wont boot from ANY sources. it starts with a screen showing "sorry for the inconvenience...etc" and displays startup modes such as safe mode, safe mode with networking, last know, normal mode etc. i click on each of them and it goes to a black screen and after a second it goes back to the startup mode screen.

is there a problem with my hdd or somethink else?

I have one user account and am using the classic login box (where you ahve to type in the username and password) and was wondering if it was possible to be able to access the same user account with another term or name. My new Dell computer came with Windows Vista. While I liked the look of Vista and some of the other features, the OS always seemed to be kind of clunky. I formatted my hard drive and installed XP about three weeks ago and haven't regretted my "downgrade" for a moment.

I'm curious to know if others have had a similar experience.
