So? Save it as a different format... RTF is usually accepted by most companies, as is the Word .doc format.

i think the problem is not related to works or word. Microsoft works is a trim down version of word, that's all.

Because i am not familiar with the system where you r trying to upload the file, i cant say much.

For testing, try to upload a resume written in Notepad. See if that works. If it does, maybe the system doesn't recognize your microsoft works' doc and accepts only microsoft word file.

Hope it helps...

Depends where you are trying to upload it. If you are uploading it to a website then chances are it is down to the format. Word is the best format however a cheaper alternative to this expensive licence is open office however this is not quiet as commonly accepted but is more accepted than works.

If you are using printed copies then use whatever gives you the best results. If you are emailing them then almost certainly you need a word compatible format. Save the file as a .rft and check it opens ok in wordpad. If that works then word will also be able to handle it.

"Save As" the Microsoft Works resume as a PDF which is universally readable without the recipient having Works or Word loaded on their server.

Good luck!
