Would someone please tell me what Windows XP Hotfix is, and what the purpose of it is? Thanks.

I also checked in my Control Panel and I've noticed the updates- what would happen if I deleted the Hotfix? Should I just leave it alone? (probably)

A hotfix is a patch that Microsoft puts out there to fix a known issue in Windows. It's just another name for an update.

I don't remove anything from my add/remove program unless it's something I downloaded myself. Updates I leave alone. Don't remove anything that's rarely used, you could still be removing something vital to your computer.
