I loved MSN Messenger, it was easy and it didn't freeze up my computer, and I knew where everything was.

But I stupidly downloaded Windows Live Messenger just to see what it would be like and it completely uninstalled MSN.

I'd like MSN back, and messenger.msn.com is only offering Windows Live right now.

Is there any site where I can download the old MSN Messenger.. the last version they had before they switched it to Live.

7.0 I think?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've received my free "Express Upgrade to Windows Vista" for my Dell laptop. I want to install it, but I've heard bad things about Vista - that upgrading with a disc doesn't work, and the Vista is just plain bad, and one should stick with XP. I do a lot of web browsing on my PC, but really the only major program I run is "The Sims 2," and I want to play that. I know that I will have to wipe my hard drive, but I'm prepared to do that. Is it worth un-installing all my virus protection, wiping, and upgrading, or should I stick with XP? Or,. should I sped extra money on a better upgrade? I don't want to aggrivate my parents any more that I have to.

Is it OK to leave it plugged in all the time?
I wondered whether it would over-charge the battery,or something?

I did only play internet games like Wow and LOTRO. It would lock up for a few seconds and then move and lock up, etc. I tried on Fable and it seems to be doing the same thing. I've taken it to computer store. They wiped the drive clean, put in a nethercard?, checked that it wasn't the router. But they didn't seem to think it was graphics card.

I used Shrink DVD to rip a DVD. It is in the video_ts format. i need to burn it on to a dvd-r/dvd+r, Can Windows Media center Edition get the job done? Or do I have to bo out and buy one of those burning softwares like Nero 7? Any information would be very helpful.

I run from a gateway pc , but the first thing that happens when i log on is netgear shuts down. this leaves me with one unsecured choice to connect to that shuts me down every minute. i can open netgear again,but it only last like 5 minutes.
any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi guys, i bought a new motherboard "Abit K8n" and i got a strange problem right now. I am not sure is it about my mother but...
the problem is like this, I am using SATA2 HD and now when i try to plug both of them to the mother board, the monitor cant recevie any signal. Or i say it is not booting up. Then i try to only plug either one of the HD at a time, the computer can boot up. Then i try only plug one of the HD into the motherboard and one of the HD ONLY connect with the power supply, then the computer doesnt boot up!! i have try both of the power supply cable, they work fine. I am using a 485W power supply.
So...can anyone tell me what is going on?

so i just installed an geforce 7600 gt. the video game play is awesom even when played at the highest quality graphics. but my screen seems like has changed resolution. everything seems larger (websites don't fit in the screen, icons seem huge on desktop even when set to 'medium' size) anybody knows how i can fix this?

I have had Hard Drive trouble where my computer does not start up.. Today I was able to start it up, just by simple turning it on. I went and did a PC Doctor Test on my hard drive.. 2 of the 5 test failed and gave me 2 codes to give to a technician,
