OK so here is the final once and for all question regarding Norton AV and a Trojan it found. I ran a full scan of my comp. So MY Norton AV2007 indicated to me it found a Trojan. At the end of the scan the trojan was in the quarantine section of the Norton "eval" Window. I deleted it from the quarantine. Since that time, I ran a full system scan in safe mode and several times in regulat mode. Norton eval does not indicate any virus spyware etc. Understanding that nothing is 100% accurate, is it safe to say within reason that the virus (that particular one) has been removed from my computer?

I have just made a video with my friends with a video camera that uses an SD card. I put the SD card in a card reader and plugged it in, and it says in order to view the files in Windows Explorer, I must format the data on the SD card, and I dont want to do that. How can I view the videos and put them on my computer without formatting the data? HELP PLEASE!

ok so... i am going to college in the fall and will be staying at home (I live 10 minutes from the campus). I am going to get a mac, however i cant figure out whether i should get the macbook (laptop) or the imac (desktop, which, doesnt even look like one because the entire computer is just simply the flat screen monitor, thus space would not be an issue). I really dont want a laptop because I think that they are stolen and broken easily, however, I was wondering if the portability of the laptop is really as necessary as they say it is in college... or will i be fine with a desktop at home?

ok. so i kinda want a myspace. nobody is on AIM anymore so i never talk to anyone. because they are on myspace. so i sorta want a myspace now. if my mom ever talks about myspace its never good. i haven't actually asked her if i could get one yet...im afraid she won't trust me on the computer anymore.

im a good kid. im pretty polite. basically all i do on the computer is IM. lately my mom and i havent always been getting along. i try to get along with her..but i mean im a teenager - i cant help but get mad at her sometimes. but idk. and suggestions on how to ask and convince her?

how can i check if my computer is being hacked/spammed? i have norton antivirus, and i scan my computer constantly and it always has this:

attention required: 1 - cookie tracked...low risk.

then i would click on "fix and remove problem" and 10 mins later when i run the norton scan again, it would find the same "cookie".

i also updated the program...and that same thing has been popping up everytime. is that a virus? somehow my computer has been running soooo slow lately.

norton is supposed to be really good right?

Hi i have seen an 80gb portable usb hard drive on ebay, it says it comes with '1 x USB Cable with slipped USB ports' and on the picture it has a mini usb and also on the same lead are 2 usb plugs. Can anyone tell me what this means? Do i have to plug in 2 usb ports on my computer to run it?

Please help.
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

Before, I used to be able to click the remove/change button that appears when you highlight a certain program.
Now, none of the programs (except 2) have the remove/change button visible. What had happened? How do I solve it (change it back/show it again)?

Also, not all my programs are in that list. Yahoo Messenger is still on my computer, but it does not show up in the add/remove programs window.

And, if you know how to uninstall without going to the add/remove programs, it would be greatly appreciated if you would share.

My graphics card just crapped out on my tower PC. I am not sure what cards are compatible (if i need a PCI or AGP slot, etc.). If you could tell me how to find out what I have on my computer through commands then I can figure it out by myself (pretty computer literate, just been a few years since I ave had the time to really mess with it). I also would like to know a good graphics card under the $200 range. I have no preference between GeForce or Radeon so either should do. I have 2 gig ram DDR1 with a 2.0gzh board, intel pentium 4.

I should also mention that I play games, not too many, but like Counterstrike Source and BF2, so I would prefer a card that could run those games at a decent framerate, or at least the best I could get for the cheap price I have to work with.

After you post, be sure to check up as I will edit with any new information I get.
