Hi i have seen an 80gb portable usb hard drive on ebay, it says it comes with '1 x USB Cable with slipped USB ports' and on the picture it has a mini usb and also on the same lead are 2 usb plugs. Can anyone tell me what this means? Do i have to plug in 2 usb ports on my computer to run it?
Thanks

the usb plug with 2 ports on one end is in case your pc usb port cant supply enough power. In most cases all you need to plug in is the plug closest to the end with the mini usb.

Just the one usb cable should do it as it should also come supplied with a power cable.Plug and play will find the drive easy enough.

I don't know what "slipped" means in this context - I suspect it's a typo for something else - but no, you would never need to plug in two USB ports.

nah you just the cable it comes with pluged into one port, seems like it's a generic cable or replacement, but it'll do.
