I have just made a video with my friends with a video camera that uses an SD card. I put the SD card in a card reader and plugged it in, and it says in order to view the files in Windows Explorer, I must format the data on the SD card, and I dont want to do that. How can I view the videos and put them on my computer without formatting the data? HELP PLEASE!

Just transfer the data to a folder on your hard drive. Just open a window to view the files, drag them and drop them into a new folder. You can then open them from that folder, andyou can format them without worrying about corrupting the original files.

Your sd card maybe mounted on an adaptor. Remove it from adaptor and put it directly to card reader

You may need to install the software for your camera onto your computer so that your computer will be able to read the card.
