Sounds to me like your DVD player does not support Video CD's. There is a difference between a CD and a DVD. They may look the same but the format is very different. Most DVD players (but not all) support both formats. Perhaps yours does not. Check the user's guide that came with your DVD player to see if it supports Video CD's.

Hope this helps,
Captain Computer

Some DVD players wont play Video CDs! my advice is spend the money, get a DVD burner and make a video DVD. chances are much much higher they will work, and the quality is much better, Data CDs are for storage mostly, unless you have a very expensive DVD player, some play data. otherwise you can only watch the cd in your computer. i have lots of experience with making video/data CDs and DVDs on nero. trust me.

It depends on the data being written, was it a movie? Most commercial dvd's have copyright protection that will prevent you from copying them. If this is just a data cd use the create data cd feature. If it's a music cd use the create audio cd feature.

As well as creating a Video/DVD, you also need the correct VOB/MPEG format and place them into the correct folder, or else your DVD Player will not read them
