Hi guys, i bought a new motherboard "Abit K8n" and i got a strange problem right now. I am not sure is it about my mother but...
the problem is like this, I am using SATA2 HD and now when i try to plug both of them to the mother board, the monitor cant recevie any signal. Or i say it is not booting up. Then i try to only plug either one of the HD at a time, the computer can boot up. Then i try only plug one of the HD into the motherboard and one of the HD ONLY connect with the power supply, then the computer doesnt boot up!! i have try both of the power supply cable, they work fine. I am using a 485W power supply.
So...can anyone tell me what is going on?

hm..acatully...what i mean it is not booting up is...nothing appear on screen. not loading bios, the monitor stays in rdy mode. seems cant recevie any signal. so is that still because of the Sata1or2 problem?

If you have a high end video card, you may not have enough power, otherwise I would check into RAID compatability for your two hard drives.

Seem this before, your SATA-II drives may not be compatiable with the onboard SATA-I controller, you could try jumper the HDD to SATA150 mode, but I find that some drives just wont work no matter how hard you try.

Check the compatibilities.
