The computer keeps going through the same screens, then shows the windows xp screen, but acts like it restarts, then back to the blue scan disk screen again. PLEASE HELP!!!

I click start, then click turn off computer then wait 10 mins for the box to arrive on the screan with stand by,restart,and switch off .I click the switch off box .nothing happens for 15 mins.I have tried allsorts to fix this it didnt use to take this long!!! Can anyone HELP PLEASE!!!

I want to uninstall a program but once is uninstalled from my PC (deleted) files still appear in my "Local Disk" thingy, in "Program Files", "Documents and Settings" etc etc
Example uninstalling "QuickTime" file of it will appear in many many other folders with stuff in them!
(That was just a example of what I mean)

Is there a program that will fully delete absolutly EVERYTHING from my system of a program/file/folder I deleted?

Anything? help, tips, etc...

How can I uninstall them properly, deleting everything of it!
Should I use any program or method to uninstall things?

Okay, I accidentally told firefox to sync with my internet explorer. How can I so-to-say un-sync it? Like is there a way that I can do something so that it won't share cookies and files with each other? (I tried uninstalling Firefox, but the option doesn't come up anymore the second time around.)

i was searching for a specific episode of naruto, when i downloaded the file it was not as titled but a 2 or 3 minute video of a 3-5 year old girl being raped by a grown man, she was crying and he did many bad things to her.

i thought it was fake to begin with, i coldnt accept it was real. but then it dawned on me it was and a deep disgust and shock filled my body and i wanted to literaly vomit. i started crying.

there was a keyword in the video title that links to other child porn on limewire program. there is VAST amounts of child porn easily accessible on these networks by anyone who types the keyword. the keyword is usually dilluted into normal videos like anime, and childrens tv shows. anyone can accidentaly stumble upon it.

how is it possible to stop this material being uploaded, why are people doing this? is it worth writing to a specialised governmetn agency about it who deal with this? why does the coorporations allow it.

I have an HP Pavillion Laptop. I was working on it and the screen just went black. You can faintly see the screen, but it is incredibly dark. I contacted HP and one person said that it may be a video adapter and one said I needed a whole new LCD at the cost of $600. When I hook the computer up to my external monitor it works fine. Also, I live in Japan and HP is giving me the run around about fixing it because I originally bought it in the USA. I also was told it could be the back light. Does anyone know if it is the back light, about how much it will cost to fix. Or if there are any other suggestions of what it could be? Thanks.

OMG!!!! i had a 14 year old gateway computer now i buyed a HP Pavilion 1700n it has 250G hard drive and i got vista i thought it was great the first week it was good but after a while it got sluggshly slow now i have to wait 4 minutes on start up so i can let everything load up please please!!! help me why is it soooo slow!!!oh and i got 861 MB dunno if that will help.
