My brother wants to buy a really basic laptop, for use at home only. He needs it for office and internet (wireless). Minimum spend. What specs should he aim for and any particular recommendations? Any brands to avoid? He really wants to spend as little as possible. Thanks

When my friend's pc starts up this error message appears: "The application has failed to start because mfc71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem".
She has no CD to re-install. We believe this was caused by a virus.

My hardrive is quickly filling up, so I was wondering, if my harddrive fills up, is there anyway i could store files online, but also open them and use them online in such a way that they don't fill up my hardrive?

I have a laptop. When I first installed it worked perfectly fine I could get on the internet wirelessely and change the volume by pressing the buttons on the computer. Now I accidently installed something that messed it up so i reformatted it. And now there is no way at all to change the volume. I went to control panel, then audio devices, then speaker volume but it said there were no audio devices...but there are speakers built right into the laptop. So I tried headphones. Still no sound. Also I can't install wireless inernet. Before (As Soon As I First Installed My Laptop) a pop-up would come up and say wireless connections found and then I chose the one I wanted. Now the pop-up doesn't even come up. So I try clicking on setup wireless connection but it just tells me to setup my wireless access point. And my wireless router is already installed and connected to my PC and my PC works fine. Some people say install the wireless software on my laptop but I never had any. So....yeah.
