Here is the big misunderstanding about P2P, people think just having a client is illegal. No no. It is perfectly legal. Mind you there is very much on the network that is public domain or under creative commons for fair use. Which is what it is really "intended" for. Downloading any copyrighted materials can be considered illegal but chances of getting caught/anyone caring are slim.

yes, the program is legal, however, if you use it to download certain objects that your not allowed to then it is illegal.
