I am coonected to broad band and have a wireless router for the house. How do I make it private to other computers

When I download my photos from my camera to my computer, why are they such large files? Most are 2MB+. Is that the norm? Or is there a way I can save them that would make them not so large?

AIM is a part of netscape its like in the brower and I cant find the menu for aim prefrences I'm starting to think you cant turn that annoying sound off. I can't listen to music and talk online it stinks.

My wireless router seems to not be working, when I plug it in with the ehternet it says thats its transmiting the signal, but both of my computers will not connect. It just stays on "acquiring network adress" and then it goes to "limited or no connectivity". When I plug in the ethernet straight from the cable modem into my computer it works, but the wireless just doesnt seem to work. I've tried reseting the modem and router several times but nothing has worked. The router says that the modem is connected and it says its transmitting a wireless signal. Anyone have any deas on how to get this back up and running? Thanks!

I have some kind of malware or virus that closes antivirus programs I try to open and will close IE if I do an internet search containing the word "virus". It also closes my Microsoft Works program and word files. However, my AdawareSE seems to work fine, but when I run that it will not fix whatever is causing this problem, how can I get computer back to normal?

I'm going to re-partition my hard drive. I own all the software, so that's not a problem. But I understand that the hard drive will be totally wiped clean. What's the best method to store for future use my creations: pictures, sounds, music, videos, web pages, calendars, documents, e-mails and faxes sent and received, etcetera?????????

I'm going to re-partition so that I can have 2 operating systems on my pc: ME and XP. Since I got XP none of my periphials (scanner and printer) work the same and some of my favorite software is unuseable.

Please give details how to save my stuff to CD, DVD, or floppy or some other means - but not online!

I have set up my network in my house i would like to share the files on my pc with my laptop. I done put the folder i want in my shared folder. made the folder available to share,everything and i can't see the folder on my laptop. Do i need to go to a special place on my laptop. please help.

I just bought a new pc(I have installed a wireless card), and I would like to access my wireless network that I have set up some time ago but my ssid is not being broadcast...I lost my pasword for my router settings..I know the name of my wireless network and my WEP key...Is there a way to access my network?
