I have tried adding the user to a "Power User" group and have used Gpedit.msc to add the permission for the user to add and remove drivers, to no avail. Any suggestions? My system is XP.

I downloaded a movie from a p2p network
At first,media player did't read the file,neither did any other pograme i have..then idownloaded a codec and now media players is playing the file but without sound..any idea..apparently it is an .avi file..

I tried copying it from the temp file, but I either did something wrong or that just doesn't work, as it needed it be connected to the internet in order to play.

At 52,I want to set up a website of no more than 8 pages maximum.I want a website firm that has a beginners package,is exceptionally user-friendly and has simple,clear instructions & diagrams in non-technical English.Also,it must have an easy to read guide and have step-by-step instructions and have a printable instruction book than I can download.The one I tried via the magazine 'Webuser' claimed to be 'user friendly' and was anything but 'user friendly'.I am not looking for 'free' sites but genuine on-line firms.Any help from my age group would be especially welcome,but all help from anyone of any age would be most welcomed! after turning on the computer and pointing to me as the user, all of the icons on the left hand side of the screen are highlighted. this means that i cant access any of them. If i change user and log on the icons on her page remain unchecked until i point at them. Any help would be welcome.

I can be in a web page,ex. applying for a job, it will suddenly freeze up and the only way to get out is to cntl,alt,delete, then I have to start all over again. Most times it will continue to do the same. The Explorer says not responding. I have a firewall and Norton and McFee(sp) why is this still happening?
