This is a simple program, but I do not know enough programming yet to write it. I am learning slowly, but really need this program now. I certainly would appreciate someone's help on this project.

I have just set up a web server using tomcat, and want others to visit my website through a meaningful url rather than a meanlingless 202.X.X.X.

eveything tells me that it should automaticly detect the ethernet cable. I know all the hard ware works fine and everything because this internet is up and it worked on the same computer before. i reinstalled windows and it does not work now. i remember this same thing happening to me the first time i got my comp. but i dont remember how i fixed it. anyone have any ideas???

It doesn't even show up on the hard drive anymore! Just like it never was there!

Two months back I was in US. I bought Dell lap top computer. I heard three cases of lap top burst. Two from Dell and one from IBM. Therefore there is no difference in its make. I suspect because of over heat the battery burst. We usually remove the battery from the dead body before cremation. I have come across several cases of mobile phone burst. Why the manufacturers should not provide heat sensors to stop the function or alert us when the battery reaches the critical temperature.

i found a program on the web one time that scanned your comp and then would tell you all of your specs,hardware, software versions, etc

I signed up a year ago to be notified via e-mail whenever Verizon got around to bringin DSL to my neighborhood. The end of the network is only half a mile away.

My problem is that I can't get through to a human being by phone to find out WHEN this might be happening.

Our cable provider really sucks and is too expensive. But dialup is ridiculously slow.

Does anyone have a phone number to reach someone in DSL at Verizon--other than the 800 number(s) in the DSL ads? I've tried those and every time, the recorded message says to call back because they're too busy. There's no option to wait for an agent.

Thanks for any advice or info someone might have.
