video file that wont play?

isnt there a video player that plays everything my friend told me about it once but forgot what it was called

this is one of the best players around and its free ....it has its own build in codecs so it plays jsu about everything .....it is a small programme so doesnt take up a lot of space also it will play incomplete avi files ....so if you download video from p2p ...you only need to downlaod approx 1 % and run it through vlc to see if its what you want ........saves spending hours downloading a film to find its porn or someother cr*p

Most of the time, it is not the player that play everything. It is what Codecs you have installed in your computer.

You may want to download one of these codec packs

Based on number of Download, K-Lite Code Pack seems to be very popular.

If you look at the list of codec it support, pretty much include all the available codec out there. You should be able to play almost all the video available out there.

For Video Player, once you have install one of the codec packs, I recommend the Media Player Classic. K-Lite code Pack 2.76 Full version include Media Player Classic.
