Sometimes the graphics adapter has video outputs built into the laptop. If yours dosen't have these, you could get a TV out device that uses USB or a PCMCIA on your laptop.

You say it has a 'monitor out' port. Buy a special cable that converts this 15 pin D-Shell into Composite, or S-Video. Then plug straight into your tv.

You particularly a lot cant, there might want to be a fashion, even with the indisputable fact that the attempt it might want to take might want to be a large soreness with each and every of the a number of adapters needed, you could steam video to an xbox 360 or ps3 once you've one through setting up your comp as a media server, yet as for promptly hooking up your comp to a CRT television its no longer going to be worth it, and that is assuming its accessible and that i do not imagine that's. or maybe with in case you could its going to seem truly undesirable as well, being that the television decision will be way decrease then that of the visual demonstrate unit, and if some thing your observing on the comp is widescreen it is going to likely be even worse, if that's a function you truly favor, identity propose getting an HDTV or do in simple terms not do it reason it is going to seem particularly undesirable.
