go to www.driversguide.com, get free register your self. Before finding the driver you must know the make and model of your Lan card. For this, open up the system casing plug out the lan card, you will be find out.

yeah i think its possible, the network drivers might not be installed. best way to check this is right click my computer, properties, hardware, device manager, and look under network adpaters does it have somehing like realtek, 3com etc.. with no yellow (!) or red (x)
also check under other devices, if there is anything that says network interface, or network controller thats your network card and the drivers need to be installed.

if the network card is installed ok, then its to do with the config, eg how are u trying to get connected? via internet connection sharing, router, hub/switch?
since if its a router hub etc.. then just turn everything off and put on this order.
modem, router, pc
and then it should work fine.. if not the u would need to login in the device causing the problem and test it..

hope this helps

When eu reinstalled windows, you got the driver of the ethernet adapter uninstalled. For it to work again, you need to reinstall the driver of the NIC or the enet adapter.

Did you re-install the network card drivers? If not, you will need to install it. If you don't have it, search for it and download.
