i found a program on the web one time that scanned your comp and then would tell you all of your specs,hardware, software versions, etc
Does anyone know what this is? i cant find it again

here, try this
- Click on Start and then RUN.
- In the window that comes up, type "dxdiag"
You'll have all kinds of info on your computer and you wont have an outside source scanning your computer.

Try www.pcpitstop.com. This site not only gives you your computers's hardware and software specs in great detail but also lets you know of any problems that you may have and gives you tips on resolving them. I think its a good site to use.

if you are using winsows xp ...you can find all the details in ...start - help and support - then under tasks " use tools to find system details " follow the links and it will give you all you need
